May 11, 2026

Ahead of the release of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh visited Gir National Park along with the film’s team for a jungle safari. During the visit, a video of Rakul walking near a safari vehicle surfaced online and quickly went viral, leading to discussions on social media about possible violations of wildlife safety rules.

Many users questioned whether the actress had stepped out of the vehicle inside the protected forest area, where strict safari regulations usually prohibit visitors from leaving their vehicles. As the debate gained attention, Gir National Park officials released an official clarification regarding the incident.

According to forest authorities, the viral video was not filmed inside the restricted sanctuary zone but outside the entry point of the Sasan Sanctuary. Officials explained that the protected zone begins only after the designated entry gate, and therefore no wildlife rules were broken.

Authorities also stated that Rakul Preet Singh experienced a medical issue before entering the sanctuary, due to which she had to return without continuing the safari. Officials further emphasized that once visitors enter the sanctuary, stepping out of safari vehicles is strictly prohibited and all safety protocols are carefully followed.

The upcoming comedy film Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is scheduled to release in theatres on May 15. The movie also stars Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi in lead roles and serves as a sequel to the 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh.
